Following recent announcements by the organisers of the Music Industry Achievers Awards (MIA) and The People’s Choice STAR Awards, the blonde singer has collectively nabbed four nominations at the upcoming award shows.

In the People’s Choice STAR Awards, Demarco is nominated for ‘Male Deejay of the Year’ and ‘Song of the Year’ for one of 2014’s biggest anthem, Good Book. His nominations in the MIA Awards are of a similar reflection.

Alluding to the achievement Demarco said: “Last year my team and I broke a lot of new ground that saw the official launch of True Gift Entertainment (TGE) and rebranding and evolving of me as an artiste. It was a challenging year several regards, but the nominations are testament that hard work and a focused mind will always reap good rewards. I must also use this opportunity to congratulate all the other nominees and thank both event organisers for their valiant efforts in highlighting and awarding real people within the industry for their tireless work through the years.”

The fifth staging of the Music Industry Achievers Awards is set to unfold on Friday, April 24, at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston. Details surrounding the STAR Awards are still tentative.

Meanwhile, Demarco was in top form at the Easter Weekend, delivering a pair of noteworthy performances to large gatherings at the St Ann Kite Festival in Richmond, Priory, and the Montpelier Agricultural and Industrial Show in St James.
