Dr. Cameka Smith Marks 15 Years of Empowerment and Excellence with The BOSS Network

CHICAGO, IL — Dr. Cameka Smith, the dynamic founder and CEO of The BOSS Network, a digital community supporting more than 200,000 professional and entrepreneurial women of color, is concluding a remarkable year of celebration for the network’s 15th anniversary. Dr. Smith will take center stage as an on-stage presenter and executive producer at the 2024 HBCU Honors Awards Show, a star-studded event dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

This year’s HBCU Honors, hosted by actress Kym Whitley, will spotlight the theme “Celebrating Black Excellence.” The event will honor notable figures such as filmmaker Will Packer, inventor Lonnie Johnson, and tech entrepreneur Jewel Burks Solomon. Guests will also enjoy electrifying performances and tributes from renowned artists, including Fantasia, Hezekiah Walker, MC Lyte, Erica Campbell, and poet J. Ivy. The awards show, presented by Procter & Gamble, will be held at Howard University’s Cramton Auditorium on Thursday, November 14, 2024, and will premiere on BET on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 8 PM (ET).

As part of her anniversary celebration, Dr. Smith will also host The BOSS Network’s flagship event, the Ladies That Lead Conference, on Saturday, November 16, 2024. This virtual event, which runs from 10 AM to 1 PM (CT), will gather over 500 business leaders and entrepreneurs nationwide for a day of inspiration and learning. Sponsored by Sage, a global leader in business technology solutions, the conference will feature panel discussions, fireside chats, award presentations, and networking opportunities.
