DR. DRE TOPS FORBES’ LIST OF TOP-EARNING HIP-HOP ACTS
NEW YORK (AP) — For all the bragging rappers do about how much cash they have, none of them can touch Dr. Dre. Forbes magazine puts him at the top of its Hip-Hop Cash Kings list. The magazine estimates Dr. Dre is worth $620 million just in the past year, thanks mostly to the sale of his Beats company to Apple. Dr. Dre earned more in the past year than the other 24 rappers on the list combined. Coming in at a very distant second is a tie between Diddy and Jay Z, with $60 million each. Drake is fourth with $33 million, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are fifth with $32 million.
