TORONTO (AP) _ Canadian rapper Drake says he is choosing to follow his heart and not his lawyers’ advice in speaking out about a deadly shooting at an after-party for his music festival in Toronto on August 4th. Drake writes on his website he is “plagued and pained” by the violence in Toronto lately, and it’s the responsibility of Toronto residents to ensure the safety and well-being of one another. He offers his condolences to the families of 23-year-old Duvel Hibbert and 26-year-old Ariela Navarro-Fenoy. Police are looking for two suspects. They say Hibbert was shot in a targeted attack and Navarro-Fenoy was an unintended target. Police say high-profile entertainers were at the party but they will not confirm whether that means Drake and Kanye West, who performed at the festival.
