As promised the recently awarded Female Athlete Of the Year 2020/21 has launched her Foundation.  She promised that she would launch this foundation to assist those in need.

Mrs. Elaine Thompson-Herah is the first female athlete to win twice the 100 and 200 metres races at consecutive Olympics.  London and Tokyo Japan were the two Olympics that the feats were executed.  She won the races and in Tokyo she assisted Jamaica in getting the 4×400 relay and therefore got another medal.

PM Holness handed her the diplomatic passport that Minister Grange promised Thompson-Herah.

We wish her all the success.

We hope she will learn to engage her brain especially off the track before articulating her tongue. She is now a recognized international ambassador for Jamaica. She needs to act the part.

Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie is a poet, elegist author and senior international journalist who writes for Vision Newspaper.
