Fitzroy Gordon Passes

Obituary
Fitzroy Gordon Passes
It with a deep sense of loss that we report the passing of an icon and pioneer of the media landscape in Canada. A Jamaican by birth Gordon blazed a trail in the radio communications  industry and even hosted a show for years. He had been hailing for some time and eventually passed.  We will miss you Fitzroy…. your caring nature is legendary.  Mayor Tory has noted your passing and commented on your caring nature and the impact of your loss to the community

Minister Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange Jamaica’s Culture has recorded her appreciation for the contribution made by Gordon. “He was a creative thinker she observed with the founding of 98 FM… we will miss his astuteness” as she spoke to Vision exclusively trying to fight back the tears. It was a poignant moment indeed.  Alwin Squire-Marshall, Editor-In-Chief of Vision Newspaper Canada remembers Gordon fondly ” he was my friend he laments”.  He is reported to have planned to launch a TV station in Canada.  Let us not mourn as those without hope.  May his soul rest in peace and light perpetual shine on him.
