Hopeton Lindo Gives Thanks on New Reggae Single “Praises”

Kingston, Jamaica – Veteran Jamaican singer-songwriter Hopeton Lindo is turning toward faith and gratitude on “Praises,” a new reggae single released September 18, 2026.

Produced by Steven “Lenky” Marsden for Diwali Records and distributed by VPAL Music, the track places Lindo’s reflective songwriting over a buoyant reggae groove.

Faith and Gratitude Drive the Message

“Praises” focuses on perseverance through difficult periods and the importance of maintaining faith when progress feels slow.

Lindo reflects on moments when he felt overlooked, but the song moves away from frustration and toward gratitude. Its central message is one of trust in God and appreciation for the progress that follows difficult seasons.

Lenky Marsden Behind the Production

The musical foundation comes from Steven “Lenky” Marsden, one of Jamaica’s internationally recognized producers and the creator of the Diwali Riddim.

His production gives “Praises” a rhythmic lift that keeps the song from becoming heavy despite its reflective subject matter.

The pairing brings together two figures with long histories in Jamaican music: Lindo as singer, songwriter and producer, and Marsden as a producer and keyboardist whose work has travelled far beyond Jamaica.

A Busy Release Period for Lindo

“Praises” follows a steady run of recent recordings from Lindo.

His recent releases include “Stop Put Money Over Life” with Anthony Red Rose, “Favorite” with Hawkeye and “Mental Health Awareness” with Anthony Malvo.

The new single also arrives shortly after the August 21 release of Lindo’s six-track EP, “A Miracle,” extending a productive period for the veteran artist.

“Praises” is available now through major streaming and download platforms.
