Reggae/dancehall star I-Octane is expected to perform at Gyalapoly’s 5th anniversary on the 5th of June at 21 Windward Road, Skateland, Kingston.

Admission to the event will cost potential patrons $500, however, all ladies will be admitted on a two-for-one deal.

I-Octane will be performing at Gyalapoly for the first time and promised to deliver a special performance. The event is being organised by State Promotion in collaboration with popular selector Ikel Marvellous, one half of the duo Team Shella.

Member of the promotions team, Tony British, told The weekend STAR: “It is the 5th anniversary so we are going for the big guns, which is why we selected I-Octane. This artiste is very professional and he is already helping us promote the event with jingles for social media and stuff like like that, so he is certainly looking forward to it. We have had several artistes at this event during our five-year period, but this one is going to be extra special.”

I-Octane has been in the island for the past few weeks and has been making connections with the youth via is ongoing all-island school tour.

“This is not the same vibe, we are going higher and harder than everything you know of as it relates to this event. Windward Road Skateland is a new venue to Gyalapoly, and will expose us to another set of audience. So turn out and have some fun in a safe environment and remember to think and drink responsibly,” Tony British said.

Gyalapoly was last held at State Mall in Cross Roads, St Andrew, and featured Swedish reggae artiste Jr Natural. Gates to the event will open at 9 p.m.
