June 18, 2022 | Colin O. Jarrett | Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, IMF Kristalina Georgieva has just completed a four-day visit with the government of Barbados.
She has indicated that no decisions on a future programme with the Washington-based financial institution would be made this week.
This was endorsed by Prime Minister Mia Mottley who said that we are going to have conversations with the Fund and we will make the decisions in the next few weeks.
On Thursday, the IMF’s head participated in a panel discussion on capacity-building partnerships for a more resilient Caribbean.
