Jah9 heats up Steamaz with ‘The Marijuana’

Sophisticated roots artiste Jah9 has added another prolific project to her growing catalog of thought provoking material.

The single ‘The Marijuana’, recorded on the growingly popular Steamaz Riddim by Production label Biggy Music, is the latest track to be released from the project. This is the first time the artiste is recording with Biggy Music since embarking on a professional music career in 2008.

Earlier this year Biggy Music released Jesse Royal’s ‘Finally’ and Deep Jahi’s ‘Till a Morning’ also on the Steamaz Riddim project. The singles have been performing exceptionally well and have started charting locally and overseas.

Jah9 believes the entire Steamaz project was fitting for her current artistic direction and also wanted to share potentially lifesaving information to the masses.

“I am currently working on other projects to do with the use of ganja for health and sustainable development, so recording ‘The Marijuana’ was ideal at this time. Also, I love to steam; I’ve been steaming herb exclusively for well over a decade.” Jah9 Shared

The song highlights the uses of the Marijuana including cancer treatment and speaks about the Rastafarian contribution to the economic advancement of the Weed industry.

The artiste wants listeners to not only be entertained by ‘The Marijuana’ single but also be informed, empowered and inspired by its content.

Jah9 is also focusing on a few more strategic singles, touring and a few community development projects, before releasing a full length Album project in early 2016.
