June 3, 2021 | Zhane Squire |
The Prime Minister Hon. Andrew Holness has pushed nightly curfew hours to 9 pm in a show of good faith with the consistent decline in numbers in the past few weeks. The latest Covid-19 numbers show new cases are currently 94 with hopes of a consistent decline. Recreational entertainment such as beaches and rivers are set to reopen soon.
The most recent numbers have the death toll at 0 with new recovieries at 180 cases. The new test samples are now 2,644 and active cases are 21,601.
With this new found freedom after months of restrictions, the public now has the responsibility to either maintain the COVID-19 protocols and aid the country to becoming a mask less society once more or ignore the months of dedication and adherance. Only the citizen’s response to this act of good will by the Government can determine the country’s future.
