Jamaica COVID-19 Vaccination Update

The AstraZeneca vaccine is slowly being administered to the Jamaican public by the Jamaican Ministry of Health to combat the negative impacts of  COVID-19 on the island.

With approximately 7% of the total population recieving their first dose. The numbers that have been posted on twiiter today are showing a decline. New first doses administered are 83,828 and the overall total is currently at 135,473.

Minister of Health Hon Christopher Tufton implores Jamaican citizens to continue to aim for some level of normalization as more doses get administrated.

It is being reported that there is 20 new positive cases adding to a total of 22,425 active cases with an additional 3 Deaths cause by Covid-19 with in the last 24 hours.

The majority of the people are recovering from the virus with a total of 147 recoveries reported over the same time frame.

There has been 1281 new tests administered with these persons still awaiting their results.
