Jamaica police seize 55 pounds of cocaine, hashish at container terminal, airports

KINGSTON, Jamaica _ Authorities in Jamaica say they have seized a total of 55 pounds (25 kilograms) of cocaine and hashish at several ports across the island.

Police said in a statement Tuesday that the biggest seizure occurred at a container terminal in the capital of Kingston. Officers there seized $290,000 worth of cocaine. No one was arrested.

Authorities said two men were arrested in unrelated drug seizures at two of Jamaica‘s international airports.
