Jamaica Swears in New Army Head

IMG_20161201_160124Brigadier Rocky Meade has been sworn in as Jamaica’s 11th Chief Of Defence Staff (CDS) since independence 1962.

He will take over command of the army from Major General Antony Anderson in a seamless transfer of command.

Major General Meade in his brief remarks pledge to : I will take wise council from all and I want to thank my mother present for suggesting that at WOLMER’S Boys’ School I should join a uniformed group where I became a student pilot”

Meade was simultaneously promoted to Major General at the swearing in which took all by surprise. So surprised was Meade, that he never had the right head gear for the occasion.

Ms. Delores Malcolm, Meade’s mother said: I am so proud of my son …” in this exclusive interview with Vision, which will we bring you a full account of later.
