The Jamaica Dollar has slid to a record low against the Green Back commonly referred to as the American dollar. With relation to the American dollar … it is Ja$146 Jamaican Dollar to one US$ dollar. The Canadian dollar is over 100 to one Jamaican.

Bank of Jamaica, the Central Bank has pumped 13 million US dollars to sure up the sliding dollar.

Money Laundering

There has been allegations that dirty money has been an issue affecting the Jamaican Dollar.
