Jamaican Making History in Cayman

Cayman islands on top of COVID 19.

A Jamaican Cherie Banks Bailey is the first pharmacist to administer Covid-19 testing in the Cayman Islands.  She has been sharing the airways with Dr. Winsome Christie, president of the Jamaica Pharmacy Association.

The American Pharmacy Association was founded in the USA in 1996.  The American Pharmacy Association has been using pharmacies in all 50 states to administer the vaccines and do testing.

There is a need for legislation to allow Pharmacists to legally administer the vaccine in Jamaica.

Cayman Islands population of 55,000

As of the 26th of January 2021, Cayman has vaccinated 6,000 residents.  They need all qualified persons on board to administer the vaccines in Cayman.

They have had 385 infections and 3 deaths to date. There are no infections there at the moment and the country is closed to the public.

There are very strict quarantine measures with fines of $10,000 USD for violators.

They have 27 cases currently. All of which are in quarantine.  Mask in public places is not required but medical personnel have to wear masks.
