Jamaican PM Andrew Holness Encourage Vaccination To Combat COVID-19 Numbers

Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness spoke at a Town Hall Meeting recently in an attempt to combat vaccine hesitancy on the island. His response was then reiterated on social media platforms. The PM used the opportunity to inform the public on the benefits of taking the Covid-19 Vaccines.
“Jamaica has been very cautious in approving and using new medicine and vaccines; our ethics committee and health professionals maintain a very high standard and align their approvals with that of the highest authorities on these matters in the world: WHO and PAHO.”
“I encourage persons who are hesitant, not to prevent others or spread misinformation about taking the vaccine. The Government will continue to utilize various communication channels to keep the public informed about the vaccination,” said the Prime Minister.
He also updated the community on the latest Covid-19 vaccination numbers on the island. These numbers are as follows:
