Jamaica’s highest number of new COVID-19 cases in a single day

This is Jamaica’s highest number of new COVID-19 cases in a single day. The public positivity rate has not been below 40% since August 20, which was nine days ago. Hospitalizations are still well over 700 patients, with growing numbers of patients becoming sicker.

Hospitalizations: Jamaica has set a new record on the number of hospitalized patients, which has now surpassed 700 patients. The number of hospitalized patients surpassed 600 just 3 days ago. Please get vaccinated if you are able to do so.
