Jamaica’s COVID-19 Cases on the Rise; 1st Shipment of the Vaccine looking to reach the shores by March 4.

Accounding to the latest updates from the Ministry of Health, there has been an drastic increase of 446 new cases in the region with a total of 5 Deaths as this pandemic continue to strike fear in to the hearts of the residence. On the flip side 92 persons manage to overcome the virus. However still Active are 9209 cases resulting in a daily positivity of 9.48 percentage as the country tries to implement counter measures to damped the impact and spread of the virus, new curfew restrictions was put in place for persons to follow such as all persons entering the country must present a NEGATIVE test, conducted with in 72 hours of entry, as of march 8 funeralsand burials will be prohibited, for churches they will be limited to 10 persons conducting the service and is strongly encouranging where possible to be hosted online, public beaches and rivers are closed but for some reason weddings will be allowed to take place but with a limit of only 25 persons. Only students sitting examination will be allowed to have face to face pertaining to schools, public sector work from home order will be starting March 4, 2021, CURFEW will remain at 8AM to 5pm and Zoos, Parks and Bars will be closed at 6pm. The newly tested is 4704 in total as the Ministry of Health gears up to have the 1st shippment of the vaccine arrives in Jamaica on or before Thursday March 4 with another shipment on it way by March 11.
