LEDISI – DISAPPOINTED
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Looks like Kanye West wasn’t the only person bothered by the way things went down at the Grammys. Ledisi (LEH’-dih-cee) says she was “a little disappointed” she didn’t get to take the stage and sing the song she did for the movie “Selma.” Ledisi was up for a Grammy for her rendition of the gospel tune, “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.” But she wasn’t asked to sing it; Beyonce was. Ledisi says she understands why Beyonce was asked to do the song for the nationally televised TV show _ and has gotten over her disappointment. As for her turn in the spotlight, she says: “My time will come when it’s time.”
