Meet the Motivators Celebrates 10 Years with Two-Day Symposium and 2025 Impact Awards

BRAMPTON, ON — In celebration of a decade of uplifting and empowering women, Meet the Motivators Inc. (MTM) will host a powerful two-day symposium on May 17–18, 2025, bringing together changemakers, community leaders, and emerging voices under one inspiring banner of purpose and progress.

The milestone 10th anniversary event will take place across two Brampton venues: Day 1 (May 17) at Sheridan College Davis Campus and Day 2 (May 18) at The Garden Banquet Centre, complete with keynote addresses, breakout sessions, live entertainment, and the debut of the 2025 Impact Awards.

Founded by speaker, coach, and entrepreneur Jacqueline Dixon, MTM’s annual symposium has become a cornerstone gathering for women across the GTA and beyond, creating space for professional development, healing, and celebration.

“This major milestone is more than an anniversary—it’s a rallying call to honour women’s achievements and fuel the next chapter of leadership and growth,” said Dixon.

Celebrating Impact and Community Leadership

The newly launched MTM 2025 Impact Awards will honour 10 exceptional individuals and organizations who have championed progress in areas such as equity, sustainability, justice, and entrepreneurship.

This year’s awardees include:

  • Desiree T. Smith, skilled tradeswoman and advocate

  • Honey Johnson, founder of Sweet Honey Catering

  • Andrea Bain, co-host of The Social

  • Richard Miller, founder of Keep 6ix

  • Hubert Hiltz, Peel Police sergeant

  • Svetlana Ratnikova, founder of Immigrant Women in Business

  • Mandana Attar Zadeh, founder of Flourishing Woman

  • Lyudmila Bezpala-Brown, CNE art curator

  • TD Bank Black Employee Network

  • Sandra Filopoulos, founder of Filo Imports

Workshops and Panels for Every Generation

Day 1 will feature a diverse mix of empowerment-focused workshops, including:

  • Gen Z Panel: Motivational Drivers of the New Generation

  • $ix Figure Side Hustle – Jacqueline Dixon

  • Crypto 101 – Peter Ratnokova

  • Mastering Networking – Tara Myshrall

  • Women in the Trades – Desiree T. Smith

  • Smart Money, Smart Business – Sue Ann Baksh & Mark Lorray

  • Transforming Pain into Power – Sandy Maeck

  • Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneurship Workshop

Participants can also connect with recruiters and exhibitors from Peel Regional Police, Skilled Trades associations, and the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce at the MTM Recruitment Centre.

Red Carpet Gala and Sunday Celebration

Day 2’s Red Carpet Gala will spotlight keynote speaker Andrea Bain and special guest The Honourable Dr. Jean Augustine, Canada’s first Black woman elected to Parliament. Also featured is Inga Tkachenko, co-founder of Inga Educates, sharing insights on advocacy and justice.

The weekend wraps with entertainment including the Sunday Singers, dance troupe Hips Don’t Lie, and a live set from reggae award winner Tony Anthony, followed by a FLOW 98.7 FM Dance Party.

Supporting Resilient Women

Proceeds from the event support The Resilient Woman Program, a year-round mastermind series dedicated to helping women from grassroots communities heal, lead, and rise above adversity.
