Thousands including PM Andrew Holness and Opposition Leader Portia Simpson Miller, Senate President and House Leader, diplomats and other dignitaries converged on the Roman Catholic Cathedral, North Street Jamaica on Saturday March 18, 2017 to attend the Memorial Service for Raphaelita Walker. Her funeral Service was on March 4, 2017 in Toronto Canada. She was eulogized as caring and dignified. Her daughter Hon. Babsy Grange and her late husband of 63 years headed the mourners. Mrs. R. Walker was 90 years old. They were married at the said Cathedral.
Vision was represented by Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie, SIC who assisted in the rendering of the hymn “The Holy City.”
