Minister Olivia Grange Rings in the New Year at Key Events Across Jamaica

Kingston, Jamaica – Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia “Babsy” Grange, ushered in the New Year by attending a series of events across the island, celebrating Jamaica’s vibrant culture and welcoming 2025 in grand style.

Minister Grange’s evening began at Freedom Street, hosted at the National Stadium. The event, organized by Vybz Kartel and Josef c, saw the first performance from Vybz kartel since being freed from prison, as well as performances from Spice, Popcaan and others, Freedom Street set the tone for a night filled with celebration.

Continuing her journey, Minister Grange made her way to Downtown Kingston for the UDC Fireworks Festival 2024, organized by the Urban Development Corporation (UDC). The festival is a staple New Year’s Eve event that dazzled attendees with breathtaking fireworks displays and live entertainment. Crowds gathered to enjoy the vibrant festivities as Kingston lit up the night sky.

To round off her evening, Minister Grange attended Midnight ChiQ, an exclusive celebration renowned for its exquisite hospitality. Minister Grange expressed her gratitude for the exceptional hosting and extended her New Year’s greetings to all Jamaicans.
