More Confirmed Cases In Jamaica

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues its march worldwide Jamaica has not been spared.
As of today we have 47 cases. The new three cases were confirmed today from tests carried out recently. Jamaica’s population is about 3 million people.
There have been 3 deaths from COVID-19 to date. Twenty three cases were reported as imported yesterday and 13 are import related, according to a Health Ministry release. These figures are likely to change this evening at the daily press briefing held since the outbreak of the virus.
Barbados
The tiny Caribbean Island of Barbados with a population of less than 400, 000 persons, has reported 34 cases confirmed recently.
