NELLY PLAYS KURDISTAN
ERBIL, Iraq (AP) _ It wasn’t just another concert for Nelly on Friday. He became the first American artist to perform in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. He performed as part of a concert for the Rwanga Foundation, a charity that helps the underprivileged in that region. A spokeswoman for the Rwanga Foundation says she hopes Nelly will show other artists that Kurdistan is a great place for artists and there’s great support for them there
