11:50 AM: A District Constable (Police) has been killed in Lacovia, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica W.I. The Police High Command’s Deputy Commissioner Glenmore Hinds is reporting this latest killing which comes amidst the investigation into the murder of woman constable Judith Williams who has been shot six times on her way to work at 6 AM. as she awaits a taxi to work at the Police Commissioner’s office. A 17 year veteran in the force she dies leaving 5 children.

The suspect in Judith Williams’ alleged contract killing is still in custody but not yet charged. The attorney representing the suspect cop has confirmed the “arrest” of his “client” … “my client has professed his innocence … my client has been charged for an alleged incident of assault which allegedly happened a year ago, although “my client was always available and is still serving the force.” Peter Champagne, accused cop’s attorney … also said: ” I am prepared to file a writ to have my client released.”

The suspect cop now alleged cop killer had been charged for assaulting his girlfriend some time ago. Peter Champagne said his client was being “held so as to give the police more time to conduct their investigation into Judith Williams’ murder case.”
