NEWS BREAK: Gunshots Stop Peter Phillips … JLP Condemns Shooting

The venue was Portia Simpson Square where hundreds gathered in a final attempt to convince voters to give the PNP a second term. Dr. Peter Phillips was in the middle of his speech trying to discredit the JLP 10 point plan when gunshots rang out.

Gunshots that rang out interrupting Phillips’ speech left two shot seriously and some 40 injured possibly due to stampede etc.

Well-thinking Jamaicans should condemn this attack as it is an attack on democracy.

This incident occurred in Portia Simpson Miller’s back yard.

Police is yet to issue a statement on the shooting incident. There is no evidence that it was an assassination attempt on the life on the life of Phillips or Simpson Miller the PM.

Simpson Miller was not removed from the podium.
