News, sport and opinion from the Guardian’s global edition | The Guardian.

Following the unceremonious departure of Amber Rudd for allegedly misleading parliament,
a new Home Secretary in the person of a coloured immigrant, the son of a Pakistani bus driver now heads the Home Office he is Savij Javid MP.

We welcome Savij Javid, hopefully as a minority he will be more sensitive to the needs of black people.  He is a former investment banker and by British standards he is considered rich. The Guardian Newspaper is reporting that he owns a four million pound house  in Durham and a two million pound house in Chelsea.  We are glad he is not poor but it his work as Home Secretary and his performance that can be translated into improving the living conditions of black people in Britain especially Windrushers …. because we are not second-class citizens there in Britain.

PM May

PM May is responding to the public heat on the Windrush Scandalous revelations which have damaged May politically.  Ironically these are seeds believed planted by May which are putting out buds and likely to bloom in the month of May.  Interesting times ahead.

Racism

Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie has a special interest in matters political and the Windrush Scandalous revelations falls within my radar. The issue has boiled my blood. It strikes me as racism in disguise.

He is Senior International Correspondent & Photojournalist for Vision Newspaper.
