NNPA Exclusive: An Intimate Conversation With Camille Cosby About Hate Groups, Racism, History And Voting Rights

NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Black Press USA President and CEO, Dr. Benjamin Chavis an acclaimed Journalist and Author Stacy M. Brown announced that an “exclusive” interview with Mrs. Camille O. Cosby about Hate Groups, Racism, History and Voting Rights will debut on Friday, December 7, 2018 in 200 Black newspapers across the United States, with a circulation of 15 million.

While Mrs. Cosby’s husband, Legendary Actor and Comedian Bill Cosby languishes in a Pennsylvaniainstitution [SCI Phoenix], she said it’s important to keep his case at the forefront of the public’s awareness because of the injustice done.  She also wanted to remind Black America of the importance of the Voting Rights Act that she long ago predicted would be dialed back by politicians who sought to deprive African Americans of their so-called inalienable right to vote.  And, in an editorial she wrote exclusive for Black Press USA prior to the 2018 midterm elections, she urged African Americans to vote for justice, equality and democracy.

“The American people have been dangerously close to being governed by a dictatorship…intent on serving its own greedy interests even, when it results in eradicating the laws that protect humanity,” states Camille O. Cosby, who has an Ed.D. in Education.  “Many of today’s politicians…especially those who are heavily financed by particular corporate entities…are becoming increasingly dangerous enemies of our human rights,” states Mrs. Cosby.

This intimate conversation with Mrs. Cosby covers an array of historical facts:  How President Richard Nixon’s corrupt presidency was finally brought to an end, when the American people rose up and demanded that their representatives be held accountable; How she and Mr. Cosby have donated more than $200 million to Historically Black Colleges and Universities as well as hundreds of Integrated Colleges and Universities; and Why she penned an Op-Ed for USA TODAY in 1998, blaming America for teaching Mikail Markhasev, her and Mr. Cosby’s “only” son’s [Ennis Cosby] killer, to hate Black people because of the various and pervasive forms of racism in our society.

“For those who might mistakenly believe that Mrs. Cosby is simply speaking out because of her husband’s predicament is not the case,” according to acclaimed Journalist and Author Stacy M. Brown.  “Her primary objective is to educate Americans on the truth and facts that have been and continues to be omitted and blocked by mainstream media, because this injustice is much bigger that Bill Cosby…but it’s about Civil Rights and if the Truth is Allowed, it will shine a beacon of light on the corrupt politicians (judges and district attorney) in Montgomery County, PA,” states Mr. Brown.

“This is a call for progressive action,” said Black Press USA, Chairman and CEO Dr. Benjamin Chavis.  “The Black Press will not let America forget about Dr. Bill Cosby, we will not let his legacy be destroyed, and we will stay the course until Dr. Cosby is vindicated,” states Dr. Chavis.
