We all welcome any criticism which can keep the government in check.

“Gross negligence”

A comment attributed to Hon. Mark Golding, Opposition Leader at a Press Conference yesterday February 23, 2021 has no foundation and could be seen as irresponsible. This statement flies in the face of the facts.

“This “Gross Negligence” statement makes for catchy headlines”

According to Tauna Thomas speaking on “What’s On My Mind” today February 24, 2021. On radio.

“If the Government had chosen unsafe vaccines then they would be guilty of gross negligence”

Concluded Tauna Thomas.

Opposition

We expect sound opposition to keep us on track. Sound government calls for an effective Opposition.  The system calls for this check and balance. Golding holds a Constitutional Office. If he is not careful with his utterances then he will not be taken seriously.

We expect sound opposition from Her Majesty’s Opposition.  They must place themselves to be seen as an alternative government should tat time arise.

Dr. Maurice Guy, Opposition spokesman on Healrh has agreed that the National Health Fund management is sound.  He also recommend a wider range of players to be able to do Antigen testing.

Pharmacists being Shut out

Pharmacists have been asking to give them permission to be a player in the testing and distribution of the vaccine Nationwide. The law needs to be amended. An amendment has been tabled two weeks ago in Parliament,  but not debated to date February 24, 2021.

Dr. Guy is not in support of a National Shut down.
