Perspective: Anxiously Awaitng Whitney’s Documentary …..

The death of internationally acclaimed superstar Whitney Houston continues to impact on many us her fans … negatively.  We have all heard the statement “Gone too soon” for me this is my saying since news of her passing hit my ear drums.  Such a brilliant voice has been silenced.

Legacy

Whitney had everything going for her.  Fame, fortune and pedigree.  She was no half bake woneabee.  The Whitney I grew up to know had real talent. Her voice was so smooth it could warm the heart of even a rat bat.  She had range, and strong vocal chords that made her unmatchable if not unstoppable.  He death hit me like a ton of bricks. A genuine talent is gone.

Lifestyle

In my celebrated poem entitled “Multiculturalism” the question is repeatedly asked:
“What is your colour tier …
Who really does care …?”

     Poetic Commentary

        Ode To Whitney

When you turn to dope …
Hoping to cope ….
There is diminished hope
On that unending rope

What is your colour tier ….
Who really does care …. ?

You allow yourself to go down that slippery slope …
You ended up being unable to cope ….
You are now stolen away …
Falling to a deceptive prey …

It is not what is on your head …
But what is inside, instead …
We all have ingenuity …
But our real concern should be our integrity …
Least to mention our legacy …

What is your colour ….
Who really does care . ..?

Let us remember what Whitney left for us,
An inheritance of lasting value … This should be our focus …
Of the road not to travel … one of raucous …
For those who are conscious …

Whitney Houston, most of all for me she was a person of colour ….
Yes!  That unfading flower ….
Misguided you may say …
Indeed for a while … gave much ray …

We hail the production team “Roadside Attractions And Miramax” ….
This is an undisputed fact …

They will do the documentary on Whitney’s life … a production worthy of note …
Even as Whitney Houston did not master the art of how to cope. She was tricked and eventually ruined by the lure of the dope.

What a pity!
This was a human tragedy …
