Perspective: Bartlett Gets Int’l Tourism Minister Of The Year Award …

Jamaica’s dynamic Tourism Minister Hon Edmond Bartlettnk has been awarded “International Tourism Minister Award.” This was done by an affiliate organization of the World Tourism Organization (WTO).

Commentary

Deserving

Minister Bartlett, “Mr spruce it up” has been very passionate about boosting tourist arrivals to the region and Jamaica in particular. We think he is most deserving of this award.

Tourist arrivals exceeded (4) million in 2017 and for 2018 arrivals have exceeded the same period when compared with the corresponding period in 2017.

Despite travel advisories from Canada and else where which we feel were misguided and without merit or foundation … this has not stopped our tourism growth.  Montego Bay is still open for business even as there is enhanced security measures.

Commendations are in order to Minister Bartlett’s staff and his family, we wish him all the success for the future.
