We have always enjoyed sound bilateral relations with Australia and of late they have been beating us, the West Indies team mnat cricket. The same script cannot be written for track and field events … especially for Jamaica.

Humanity

In my further perspective, that any bilateral relationship to be sustainable it must have at its core true humanity, as people travel all over the world in search of enhancing their cultural, economic prospects and for other opportunities.
Indigenous People

Like Canada they in Australia have many indigenous people living there, and reports are there have been challenges relating to this rich cultural intermix ….. for example there have been allegations of ” Cultural Genocide” made against immigrants/inhabitants who like north Americans have migrated and controlled this vast mineral rich land mass known as Australia.

So there are cultural lessons they can learn from little Jamaica, even if they are Down Under.
The Jamaican motto “Out of many one people” should teach all a thing or two at human and cultural relations.

Refugees

The treatment meted out to boat people in Australia left much to be desired. Their resettlement policy seem to have lack true humanity. We hope those TV images beamed by the international media were inaccurate. If not …..? You our readers be the judge.
We wish the bilateral and cultural relations between Jamaica and Australia, all the success. A number of Jamaicans have migrated to live permanently in Australia.  Many of this number are personally known to me.

As usual,  how you rate the quality of the bilateral relationship between Jamaica and Australia is for your  assessment. In the final analysis, the verdict is yours.
