Perspective: New Policing Rules Go into Effect January 1

racial profiling 3Police Must Obey New Rules!

New rules to control the conduct of police in the largest multiethnic Province, in Canada  of about 4 million, come January 1, 2017.

We congratulate the Ontario government for trying to stem racism and xenophobia.

Education Minister Mitzie Hunter must be commended for her action to root out this atrocities.

She awaits a report for early January 2017 on racism in the education system.

Sexual Orientation

Premier Kathleen is making a real difference in this regard. Whether she is gay or not, it is her performance that really matters.

We at Vision do not discriminate on the grounds of gender, or sexual orientation … it is your contribution to improve our production and social condition that counts.

Police has used their power to racially profile over the years. We hope this disgraceful practice will be now curtailed.

Basic Training

We are delighted to learn that Police will get training on this new regulation in their  basic training at the Police College. Great move indeed!

We support this initiative. A job well done. It is long overdue.

We are on board and will be monitoring this long overdue initiative. We hope other Provinces will copy Ontario in this regard.

This is an idea whose time has come. This is an excellent New Year gift to all,  especially minorities who have suffered so much humiliation over the years.
