Perspective: Niagara falls frozen over

Perspective

We note the deep freeze gripping the United States and Canadian border where the Niagra Falls is located.

The world famous falls has a fall of 165 metres and is made up of three smaller falls. For me it was one of the marvels of this world.

Dunn’s River Falls

Of less known is the world famous Dunn’s River Falls located in world famous resort area known as Ocho Rios (eight rivers) St. Ann, Jamaica W. I.  Thousand of visitors visit Dunn’s River Falls annually. Jamaica attracted some 4 million visitors in 2017.

Visitor Favorite

Dunn’s River Falls is believed to attract some 80 percent of all visitors to all attractions in Jamaica.  Other Caribbean islands have falls.

Guyana

In Guyana they have a famous fall which like Niagra has a hydro electric feature.

In our perspective if the Niagra Falls is frozen still then come to Jamaica for the time of your life.  We feel it for the animals who have frozen to death.

Dogs Frozen

We appeal to dog owners to demonstrate some humanity by protecting your animals. Do remember that a dog is a man’s best friend.  In Jamaica we tend to be very protective of our pets especially our dogs.

We hope the homeless in Canada and elsewhere will stay away from the frozen pavements and cellars and find a shelter. In a first world country no one needs to be frozen to death.  That is barbarism of no mean order. We hope good sense will prevail.

This is our perspective. What is yours?  Let my editor hear from you.
