Perspective: Rupert Clarke, Moravian Pastor Rapist Gets 8 Years …

The Moravian Pastor, Rupert Clarke who was caught in a compromising position with a teenager in St. Elizabeth 2016 has been sentenced to eight (8) years today March 8, 2018 on each count to run concurrently. So he will serve only eight (8) years. By pleading guilty the Pastor got a reduced sentence as he did not waste the court’s time.

Two Counts

Pastor Clarke pleaded guilty late last year (2017). Pastor Clarke was charged for two counts of sexual assault.  Two sisters in the same family had been sexually assaulted by Clarke.  He apparently repeatedly molested them. Shameful!

Commentary

Depraved

This was a financially deprived family that Pastor Clarke chose to prey on. It was a low down act and not becoming of someone in his position as a religious leader.

It was a depraved act by a Pastor who was placed in a position of trust … someone who should have known better.  To whom much is given, much is expected. Shame on you Mr/Pastor Rupert Clarke. To be labeled a rapist is most despicable.  We hope you will repent of your sins and not harbour the view that you were unlucky to be caught. The wages of sin is death, as you are fully aware as a pastor. You should have practiced what you preached. You are a hypocrite, big time.

Ruined

The lives of these two young girls were ruined by Pastor Rupert Clarke, who is supposed to be a father figure to these vulnerable little girls.

The nightmare is finally over for the community, the respective families and the Moravian church.
