We are happy for Serena Williams, now a married woman.  She gave birth to a baby recently and we were wondering if her marriage was a top secret or she like so many other celebs had decided to be a single parent, by choice.

Two Parents

We do not think it is a disgrace to be brought up in a single parent household.  Studies have shown that children from two parent households tend to be better adjusted socially.  This occurs even when the parents are say a step parent of either sex.

Many adults today who have been products of single parent households have done exceedingly well in society. Parents can be married and later divorced .. so one parent under the circumstances has to do the parenting.

Serena as a woman of colour is a role model and has set the right example. We wish her, baby and husband  Alexis all the success.
