Today Jamaican PM Andrew Holness visited Kingston Wharves to unveil a new mobile crane and brake ground on a new integrated logistics warehouse complex on Ashenheim Road.

He released the following statement:

“Today marks another milestone in the realisation of Jamaica’s economic development potential, as we unveiled Kingston Wharves’ Mobile Harbour Crane, commissioned the redevelopment of Berth 7, and broke ground for an integrated logistics warehouse complex on Ashenheim Road.

Kingston Wharves Limited (KWL) is consistently recognised as the region’s leading multipurpose port terminal operator, connecting our nation’s importers and exporters to over 45 international ports in the Caribbean, Latin, and North America.

These three important investment initiatives totaling US$60 Million will further enhance the international competitiveness of KWL, and by extension, Jamaica as a regional maritime centre, creating opportunities for new, attractive high skilled jobs and positioning Jamaica as the maritime and logistics centre of the Americas.”
