Today, Jamaican PM Andrew Holness delivered much need oxygen concentrators to the Ministry of Health and Wellness to be distributed to hospitals across the island.  The PM took to social media to share the news.

“During the peak of the third wave of the pandemic, I will never forget the Saturday morning I received a call from a health professional saying that they were almost out of oxygen.

I immediately jumped on the phone and got in touch with persons who could assist in acquiring much-needed medical equipment.

Today, I am pleased that through my Positive Jamaica Foundation, we were able to hand over oxygen concentrators to the Ministry of Health and Wellness, which will be distributed to hospitals across Jamaica.

These medical equipment are courtesy of the efforts of our Ambassador to the United States of America, Her Excellency, Ambassador Audrey Marks, who managed to mobilise support from the diaspora, friends of Jamaica and corporate entities in the United States.

Our goal is to ensure we are prepared when these events happen at the magnitude they often do.” said PM Holness.
