PM MOTTLEY DISMISSES CLAIMS THAT THE COUNTRY WILL BE UNABLE TO REPAY IMF

Prime Minister Mia Mottley has brushed aside suggestions that Barbados will not be able to fulfill its obligation and repay a 7-year loan from the International Monetary Fund, IMF.

She has also dismissed concern that the island is in a precarious debt situation.

Miss Mottley says the critics are seeking to excite Barbadians and speaking without context as it regards the 928 million dollars to be repaid by 2029.

Miss Mottley responded to critics who have raised concern in recent days that Barbados is in a precarious debt situation.
