June 21, 2022 | By Colin O. Jarrett | Prime Minister of Barbados, PM Mottley tests positive for COVID-19. A Press Release said the Prime Minister will be quarantined at home until they determine otherwise.
Last week, Prime Minister Mottley; who is fully vaccinated, hosted a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, IMF headed by its Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
As a result of the illness, Prime Minister Mottley may not be able to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, which is to being held in Rwanda.
Last week, St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves confirmed he had tested positive for the virus.
Regional counterparts in Belize John Briceno, Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne, Trinidad and Tobago Dr Keith Rowley and St Lucia Phillip J Pierre previously tested positive for the virus.
