Poetic Perspective: Taming Crime
Poetic Perspective:
With business confidence high ..
No one should ask why …
When a government is performing well
Then good results will tell …
The Holness administration is on the ball
They are making the right call …
Crime is down some 22 percent …
Certainly not the level considered heaven- sent …
When compared to where we are in 2017 … as for killing …
This is very good going …
Resources given to the police to tame crime ….
And they are doing just fine …
Tourism is on the upturn …
Based on the data … so we learn
Despite negative reports of rape …
There are no convictions of any rate …
So these reports do not damage tourism’s fate …
All reports must be proved vigorously Yes investigated for accuracy …
If found to be false … publicly expose atrocity .. .
It is not fair that after consenting to sex
You later claim rape … if you are vex or upset . .
Rape is a serious charge …
Not to be made without due regard …
We feel a genuine victim must be valued
Alas! A real complaint is not here being devalued …
Let us respect the other person …
There is always good reason …
Sexual contact should be consensual
No one should treat same as casual
Crime is trending down .. .
Let us keep it down …
Create the right atmosphere for business
And we will reap growth & success …
Let us not focus on unnecessary fuss
But condemn tendency for being raucous …
We need to court love & respect
This is what we should expect
Let us embrace our neighbour …
As ordained by Our loving Saviour
Amen!
