Police: Bus crash in western Jamaica kills 3, seriously injures 17 others
KINGSTON, Jamaica _ A minibus in Jamaica has collided with a truck on a rural road, killing three people and injuring 17 others.
Police say the Monday crash in the western parish of Westmoreland killed three adult passengers aboard the Toyota minibus.
The driver apparently lost control and collided with a truck travelling in the same direction. He survived the crash, but three of the 20 passengers died. The other passengers are reported in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.
Minibus and taxi drivers in Jamaica often drive at high speeds and swerve recklessly from lane to lane.
