President William Ruto Strengthens Bilateral Ties with Finland at UN General Assembly

New York, USA — Kenya and Finland have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as peace, security, climate action, and economic development. President William Samoei Ruto, during a meeting with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, expressed Kenya’s eagerness to continue deepening its partnership with Finland. The leaders met on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 22, 2024.

In a tweet following the discussions, President Ruto highlighted the strong ties between the two nations and their shared commitment to global goals, stating, “Kenya and Finland enjoy strong bilateral ties, strengthened through collaborations on areas of shared interests.
