Kingston, Jamaica — Prime Minister Andrew Holness has lauded the latest cohort of police graduates, describing them as exemplary protectors of law and order who are pivotal to achieving the vision of a peaceful and prosperous Jamaica.

In a statement shared on social media on November 13, 2024, Prime Minister Holness expressed pride in the calibre of men and women entering the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). He emphasized the importance of their role in transforming the country and ensuring safety for all citizens.

“It was my great honour to witness the calibre and quality of protectors who will be upholding law and order in our country,” Holness stated. “Let us take a moment to celebrate them and all we are accomplishing as a nation as we continue to build the Jamaican dream.”

The Prime Minister’s remarks highlight the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public safety through the recruitment and training of competent officers. These efforts align with broader national strategies aimed at fostering social cohesion and economic development.

The graduation of these officers represents a significant step toward enhancing the JCF’s operational capacity, particularly in addressing issues such as crime prevention, community engagement, and law enforcement.

The ceremony underscored the government’s commitment to equipping law enforcement with the tools and training necessary to maintain peace and uphold justice across the island.

As Jamaica continues its transformative journey, the contributions of newly graduated officers will be instrumental in creating a secure environment conducive to progress and prosperity.
