Prince to release new album
Prince is to release a new album. The music icon is set to unveil his new LP, Hit n Run, his follow-up to 2014’s Art Official Age, exclusively on Jay Z’s music-streaming platform Tidal.
He said: “After one meeting, it was obvious that Jay Z and the team has assembled at Tidal to recognise and applaud the effort that real musicians put into their craft to achieve the very best they can at this pivotal time in the music industry.
“Secondly, Tidal has honoured us with a non-restrictive arrangement that once again, allows us to continue making art in the fashion we’ve grown accustomed to, and we’re extremely grateful for their generous support.
“In the tech-savvy, real-time world we all live in today, everything is faster. From its conception and that one and only meeting, Hit n Run took about 90 days to prepare its release. If that’s what freedom feels like, Hit n Run is what it sounds like.”
Hit n Run will be released exclusively on Tidal on September 7.
