The rumours are all true. Due to the overwhelming demand from people like you, who are tired of getting invites to predictable musical events that traffic cliché and highly caricatured black/urban music, we had to do it again. In our ongoing quest to present more Canadian debuts of musical mavericks who are reshaping the contemporary music landscape, this Thursday’s “urban alternative” concert experience will feature more of the genre-bending mashups we’ve become known for, a world where electronic, reggae, afro beats, punk, future soul and hip hop intentionally co-exist.

We’ve teamed up with our fashion forward friends at Supafrik and this time around are presenting the North American concert debut of Congolese electro alternative super group Abakos (consisting of Polaris Prize nominated Pierre Kwenders + Ngabo Kiroko aka Dear Denizen). They will headline a stacked bill alongside award-winning dancehall dub diva D.bi Young & her 333 band, Fader Magazine approved future soul phenom Adria Kain, DJ Ace Dillinger and more! This special event will be hosted by Herve aka Young Jesus from Montreal’s legendary pop up party Moonshine and Supafrik’s Chinedu.

This carefully calculated & curated music showcase is for you, genuine music lovers, and proud citizens of The 6 aka Tdot aka Hogtown aka ???. Peep the attached music samples aka warning shots from our guests this Thursday.
