Rescind Harvard Award To Mrs. Mnanangua
The group of US former diplomats are urging that a medical award given to First Lady Mrs. Auxilia Mnangagwa be rescinded because doctors have been abducted, tortured and are not being paid properly and have been forced to strike. They want their salaries pegged to the US dollar due to hyperinflation and low the value of their currency.
The award was through Harvard.
The First Lady is a MP and also a health professional who got an ambassadorship for the role she played in Zimbabwe’s healthcare system.
Commentary
We do hope the abductions and torture of doctors et al will stop in Zimbabwe. If correct this is a serious violation of human rights.
