The track which is was produced by his own Yardstyle Entertainment and Frankie Music sees the artists each telling their own personal tale of grief.

A video for the song which was directed by Mykal Cushnie was released 2 weeks ago and has so far racked up over 150,000 streams on youtube in addition the track has been gaining traction on local and international radio.

When we contacted Frankie of Frankie Music and JJwizzle of Yardstyle Entertainment they explained  “The song just came about from a natural vibe, we heard the demo that Rico did and immediately we knew we had a masterpiece that needed Laa Lee and Maestro on it.

The song was personal for Rico who just lost his father and brother only a month apart but we felt the need to make the song more universal because of what most people are going through in the world with the ongoing pandemic. They then explained that major plans are in progress for the promotional campaign that will see the song being promoted locally and on the international scene as well.

Rico explained when the idea came about to broaden the appeal of the song it was an easy decision who the obvious choices were as he explained “we never had to think twice about who to invite on the song as Maestro and Laa Lee are family, Laa Lee from Frankie Music and Maestro Don is Yardstyle so it was natural and the energy connected”

Rico Tayla who has over the years earned a name for himself in entertainment circles mainly for producing and mixing songs for some of the biggest names in Reggae and Dance Hall such as Bounty Killer Vybz Kartel, Dexta Daps, Konshens and many more is currently in the process of completing his upcoming EP.  The yet-untitled project is the follow-up to his 2019 release Jefe and will be a collaboration between Yardstyle Entertainment and Frankie Music which will see the producer turned artist delivering a fusion of multiple sounds including Reggae, Dance Hall, Trap and Afro beats.
