June 23, 2022 | By Colin O. Jarrett |  Bermuda has moved to recognize its last same-sex marriages up to March 14, 2022.

Deputy Premier and Minister of Home Affairs Walter Roban in presenting the Domestic Partnership Amendment Act 2022 in Parliament noted there was a lot of confusion regarding the status of same-sex unions that were entered into after June 1, 2018, when new legislation regarding marriages took effect.

UK Law Lords at the Privy Council ruled in March 2022 that Section 53 of the Domestic Partnership Act 2018 restricted marriage to a union between a man and a woman, was constitutional.
